Player Equipment
Soccer players require special equipment to be allowed in the game and for practices. SHIN GUARDS protect the player from blows to the lower leg and scratches from cleats. Shin guards are required for games and practices. SOCKS must cover the whole entire shin guard.
There is also NO JEWELRY allowed during games and practices. Referees are instructed to not allow a player to participate in the game if the player is wearing jewelry. The only exception is medical alert bracelets or religious items and those must pose no danger to the wearer or other participants and must be secured to the approval of the referee. The referees word is final. It is advised to not pierce ears before or during the season, as the player will be asked to remove the earrings for the games. Tape and/or band-aids to cover the earrings is not allowed. No metal or plastic barrettes for hair. Please use rubber bands/headbands to hold hair back. No hats with hard bills are allowed. No football or baseball shoes allowed, as they have toe cleats at the front tip of the shoe and are not acceptable soccer gear. Players are allowed to wear tennis shoes but soccer cleats are preferred
