Overview

Coppell Youth Soccer is
extremely proud of its select program, Coppell FCfor birth years 2007 and up (must be at least 10 years old to play U11 select). For the 2017-2018 season, Coppell FC had a total of five teams. Click here for a list of teams and coaches.

Coppell FC has amazing professional coaches, beautiful local fields and the lowest fees around! Our competitive teams are a part of the NTSSA and the USYSA and follow their specific rules and regulations. Teams are coached by Challenger Sports coaches with a minimum of an FA Level 2/USSF ‘C’ License, as well as CYSA-approved independent coaches, with a minimum "D" license coaching certification.

Player Selection and League Placement

Coppell FC will hold open practices in late May through June. Click here for more information on open practices. On July 1, 2017, coaches will begin offering contracts to players who attended open practices. Players that sign contracts commit to play exclusively for Coppell FC for the full soccer year from July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018. Competitive players cannot participate in recreational soccer concurrently. They also cannot play with any other competitive teams during this period unless they are provided written release from their coach to guest for another team. Once teams are set, they will then train and focus on the various league qualifying tournaments in late July & early August. Please note it is essential all players are available for the qualifying dates.

North Texas offers some of the highest quality competitive soccer in the United States. Teams from as far as Waco, Midland, Amarillo and Oklahoma travel to Dallas to participate in our local Classic & Premier Leagues. The league that a team elects to qualify for will be determined by the coach based on the skill level of the team formed. This past year, our teams participated in the Plano Premier Invitational League.

Players who are not selected to represent Coppell FC, or do not want to go down the competitive route, can continue playing within CYSA’s recreational divisions within the NMCSL or GLASA concept against neighboring North Texas soccer associations.

As of last year, United States Youth Soccer adopted calendar year age groups for all programs. North Texas Soccer also adopted calendar year age groups. If you would like information on birth year and what season your child should be playing click here:
Please see the birth year & season matrix chart provided by US Youth Soccer

Examples
A player born in 2007 will now be a U11 player for the 2017/18 season.
