Referees are instructed to not allow a player to participate in the game if the player is wearing jewelry. No bracelets, necklaces or earrings. The only exception is medical alert bracelets. It is advised to not pierce ears before or during the season, as the player will be asked to remove the earrings for the games. No metal or plastic barrettes for hair.
